Nofollow

A link relationship value used to indicate that a link should not imply endorsement or normal ranking credit.

In everyday use

A publisher qualifies a link it does not want to endorse.

What to keep in mind

It is a search hint, not a guarantee that nobody will visit the link. Sponsored and user-generated links have more specific relationship values.

Also searched as: rel=nofollow
