Who we are

Perspectism (formerly AInitiation Media, ABN 86 374 669 707) is a branding and distribution agency operated by Dario Cavallaro, based in Australia. Our website is perspectism.com. This policy is governed by Australian law. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@perspectism.com.

What information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and the usage information described below:

  • Email address and name: when you sign up to receive a free resource (Repurposing 101, Digital Toolbox, Digital Culture Dictionary or Every Way to Market Anything) via our email provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit).
  • Purchase information: when you buy Brand Build OS through Kit, the checkout processes your email address, name where provided, and order information for payment, receipt and product delivery. Stripe processes the payment details through the checkout.
  • Name, email address, and project description: when you use the contact form on the Work Together page. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • Usage data: aggregate visit data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, browser, and device type, collected by our analytics provider Metricool. This is measured without cookies and without storing anything on your device, and it does not identify you personally.
  • Optional analytics: after you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures page views and the limited interactions described under Third-party services below.

This website does not collect or store your full payment-card details. Product payments are processed through Kit and Stripe. We do not request sensitive personal data or information from minors under 16.

How we use your information

  • To deliver the free resource you requested.
  • To process product orders and deliver purchase receipts and access to Brand Build OS.
  • To respond to project inquiries submitted through the contact form.
  • To send occasional updates about Perspectism products and content, if you signed up for email updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Access to personal data held by third-party providers is limited to what is necessary to operate the services listed in this policy.

Australian Privacy Act

Perspectism complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Make a complaint about how we handle your personal information

To exercise any of these rights, email info@perspectism.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

International data transfers (Australian Privacy Principle 8)

Some of our third-party service providers are located outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting your personal information to us, you acknowledge that it may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries by the providers listed below. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR: EU and UK users)

For users in the European Union or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing personal data is:

  • Consent: for email sign-ups and optional Google Analytics. Analytics consent is requested separately through the cookie banner.
  • Legitimate interest: for responding to contact form submissions.

We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the legal mechanism for transferring personal data from the EU or UK to our US-based third-party providers where required under GDPR.

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
  • Restrict processing of your data
  • Request portability of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. For EU users, this is the data protection authority in your country of residence. For UK users, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process personal data on our behalf:

  • Kit (ConvertKit): email list management, product checkout, receipts and delivery. Personal data transferred to the United States. Kit’s privacy policy is available at convertkit.com/privacy.
  • Stripe: payment processing for the Kit product checkout. Payment details are processed by Stripe; see Stripe’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
  • Resend: transactional email delivery for contact form submissions. Personal data transferred to the United States. Resend’s privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Vercel: website hosting and infrastructure. Vercel may process server access logs. Personal data transferred to the United States. Vercel’s privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Metricool: website analytics. Metricool counts visits using the IP address present in your connection and sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and assigns no unique identifier. Metricool is based in Spain and processes data within the European Union. Metricool’s privacy policy is available at metricool.com/privacy-policy.
  • Google Analytics: optional analytics loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. It measures page views, clicks to our resource and product pages, and successful contact-form submissions. We do not send the content of your form, your name or email address in these events. Advertising signals are disabled. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing practices.

Perspectism Video Distribution

Perspectism Video Distribution is our private workflow for preparing our own content for our social channels. It is operated by Dario Cavallaro through Activepieces. It is being tested and automatic social publishing is inactive. Website visitors are not asked to connect a Google account.

  • Access and purpose: the authorised owner’s Google Drive connection has read-only access to files available to that account. The workflow searches designated Perspectism content folders to locate original files and check their identity and technical quality. Folder selection limits the workflow’s behaviour; Google’s permission itself is broader than those folders.
  • Data processed: file names and identifiers, folder relationships, file types, sizes, modification dates and available checksums. Selected content files may be downloaded for integrity checks. This connection cannot edit or delete Drive files or change their sharing permissions.
  • Storage and sharing: Activepieces processes the connection and these data on our behalf. Source metadata is stored in its project storage and may appear in execution records. Current file checks stream selected content through Activepieces; they do not create a public hosting link. The current workflow does not send Drive files to an AI service or social publisher.
  • Retention: Activepieces documents a 30-day retention window for cloud execution data. Its project key-value storage is separate. Our metadata cache is valid for 24 hours before refresh; that is not a promise to delete the stored data after 24 hours. Metadata can remain until it is replaced or explicitly removed.
  • Your control: the connected account owner can revoke access in their Google Account. Revocation prevents future authorised Drive requests but does not itself delete existing caches or execution records. Contact info@perspectism.com about access or removal of data already processed.

Activepieces describes its cloud processing and safeguards in its security documentation and its execution retention in its cloud limits documentation. Future publishing or AI processing requires an updated description of the actual data use before it is enabled.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses local storage to remember your choice for up to 365 days. Google Analytics loads and may set analytics cookies only if you accept. Declining keeps Google Analytics off. Advertising cookies are not enabled by accepting analytics. You can clear this site’s data in your browser and reload to remove the saved choice and choose again. Expired choices and acknowledgements made before analytics was enabled do not authorize analytics.

Data retention

  • Email subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed to our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
  • Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months or until the inquiry is resolved, whichever comes first.
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@perspectism.com.

Your rights (summary)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with your local authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@perspectism.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or business practices. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify subscribers via email where appropriate.
