A dismissive label for someone perceived as seeking approval by distancing herself from other women.
In everyday use
A discussion criticises the phrase “I am not like other girls” as pick-me behaviour.
What to keep in mind
The label can itself be misogynistic. Personal preferences are not proof somebody seeks approval.
